Round two

Our bear called last Sunday night from the airport in New York. He was on his way to Kuwait and will be there for about a month before moving on to Baghdad. We knew this second tour was immenent, but we weren't ready for him to be going back so soon. In typical fashion he enjoys this new experience and relies on his faith that he will be protected.

For the next year I will have my cell phone at the ready and charged. With every meeting I attend letting those around me know that I will leave at a moments notice if my cell phone goes off. People will be asking how he is doing, have we heard from him, how are we coping with him being in harms way. We will smile and say he is doing well and no, he doesn't get to call very often. Something we got used to when he was gone the first two years.

He will return to us, this I believe, after all it is the only thing that keeps me sane.

Thank you so much for posting this picture. It's so nice to see a recent photo of him. I sure miss that guy...

Good luck in staying sane, and know that I'll be wishing him well and worrying along with you...

*sniff sniff* Yup, I am dealing with his being gone, by yet again NOT thinking about it. I mentioned it to Will.
Oh a few days ago,Will's friend tried to kill himself... he is "ok" but not. He is ptsd from Iraq as well as he has never really been stable. Will can't get ahold of him,and its causign him issues. Hopefully we'll hear from him soon.
I think if R had faith to stand on, the ptsd would be a little easier on him. Bear has so much faith, and so much love surrounding him its amazing. He emminates love and understanding, and I am sure those soldier around him feel it too.
When you talk to him, send him some more love, from me and my family!

Thanks for the update. We'll all be praying for him. We have a nephew over there already, (a marine - he was in Kuwait two months ago, no news this month so we're not sure) and another nephew finishing Basic this month,(also in the Marine Corps), so we don't know where he'll be yet. They are a regular part of our prayers. We'll also pray for you because I know it's hard having him gone. We love you all!!
